Weather Where You Are

Got ta minimum a foot of snow last night with high winds causing drifting....I should have taken a picture of the 4 foot snow drift in front of my garage but I left my phone in the house and was too covered in snow to go back in to get it....

Spent the better part of 2 1/2 hrs clearing snow this morning....

And I see the wind is whipping out there still so maybe a snow drift picture isn't unrealistic.....

Holy mackerel that’s gotta be hard work, 92 in central Florida today, I rode 195 miles.

It's hard work but good, honest work.....

It was -15'C with the wind chill out there this morning...

Supposed to go down to -25'C tonight..

My sister lives in Dade City and she has lived there for almost 40 yrs....when I tell her how cold it is out she said she sure doesn't miss that cold...

I like the cold, it feels good when you are out working in it....I hate the humidity of the summer...

I rode through Dade City and Trilby on my ride today, Dade City is nice historical town, they have a classic car show every first Saturday of the month and the Cumquat festival. They shut the car show down for June, July and August every year because it’s so hot not many show up.

It's a balmy -30'C out there this morning.....definitely not "mankini" weather.....

I was out snowshoeing last night in the dark and it was around -20'C or so....I loved the sound of the snow crunching like it does in the extreme cold...

A foot of wet, heavy snow fell last night....hopefully it's the last big snow fall for the season...

The big yellow beast will be out working shortly.....

The cold weather is hanging on around here...there was a cold wind blowing this morning while I was out snowshoeing....

Riding a motorcycle is certainly not a reality for a while.

I
For sure! My black truck turned green, I’m just glad the pollen doesn’t bother my sinuses.
wish I could say the same. It has kicked my butt so far and Allegra- D and nasacort spray are my best friends right now.. Our two vehicles are white and they have been living in the driveway the last 2 weeks due to having some carpet and other materials stored in the garage while we work on some renovations and they look green. I have one of those car wash “club” memberships and run it through every 3 days or so just to keep it from getting too bad.

Things are getting a wee crazy here in California. We've surpassed 50+ feet of snow at the top of the Sierra.

50 feet? I didn’t think that was possible but then again I’ve lived in Florida all my life and I have 1% knowledge about snow. This time of the year is central and south Florida’s best time of the year, you can walk outside in the morning and the humidity doesn’t hit you right in the face and the afternoons are hot but not blistering and it’s not raining every day at 4:00. But try being here July through September, 90+% humidity every day, you’re never dry.

That's one of the craziest things I've heard all day....

What could you possibly want with snow?

Playing with the off road toys by chance?

Nah, I don't have any off road toys anymore(sadly), nowhere close by left to ride, everywhere good was sold or is now posted.
My F150 is my only vehicle at the moment too, so I drive it pretty easy.
But I still love to ride around in the snow, and plan to get a beater 4x4 again at some point.
If it's going to be cold outside, I'de like to have some snow.
Snow here is usually a few dustings, and 2 to 3 good ones of around a foot.
It usually snows about a day and a half, and it's all melted within 3-5 days.
My daughter is 12, and I've always enjoyed taking her sledding too.
This winter has been pretty mild, so no complaints on that either.
Just one good foot of snow...then it can be 70 degrees until Christmas time, lol

I've just come in from shoveling and walking the neighbor's dog....and seeing the snow falling, and falling, and falling......

It's getting monotonous......
