What Did You Do To Your Busa, Today?

Getting sub 400 is not going to look like a busa .

It would certainly be a challenge and an expensive one if a person was to go full CF body work or something...

I wouldn't want my bike to be much lighter especially for daily riding, it handles wind gusts from passing vehicles really well now at this weight. I rode a new GSXR1K a while back and a pick up truck will almost blow you off the road not to mention the wind blast off a semi....

The fitment on that header is sweet. Are the pipes a smaller diameter than the Black Widow? Looks like Delcovic has the bends perfect. Was the new can chopped by you? How's the quality feel on that aftermarket lower hose? "All these questions Rubb, get lost..." View attachment 1627940

Morning Rubb,
(err, does that sound weird?)
In my excitement, I forgot to measure, but eyeballing them, I reckon they're same size, the primary headers anyway. I'd say the single out is smaller than the BW dual outlets though.
But they seem good. The bends are nicely radialised and clean. I'm happy with them. The interesting time will be oil change. The BW set have room to remove the filter.

Nope, no cutting required.. That can is straight from the triumph tiger. Guy a few ks up the road had it advertised in our version of Craigslist, (Gumtree)
I missed in the measurements with the link pipe and its about 2" too short. I'll get the guy to lengthen the link pipe one day so the mount strap clears the badge on the can.
The hoses are silicon and I followed someone's build here and ordered the same. I did a full swap to all silicon. Don't have to worry about them getting hard and cracking for a long, long time.

Mornin' @ottafish (nope, doesn't sound weird)
For now till you get yer mid pipe stretched,LOL...you could just fashion up a little extension of yer can hanger to slide yer mount strap down a little bit to clear the advertising. It would look fine.
Sillycone hoses eh...mmmm I've thought about ordering up some colored ones (in red) in favor of the black mesh screens I have installed. Showing off the hoses actually looks decent in my opinion.
Enjoy the day my friend,
Rubb.

Looked at the bikes, debated topping them off and tucking away for winter. Weather turned fast and I am afraid the season is over suddenly....
I'm right behind you in storing my bike for the winter...I have fuel stabilizer in it already, I only have to take out the battery and it's ready to go....

I have battery maintainers on both 24/7 when not being ridden, so they just need scooted into the garage deeper and topped off with fuel and stabilizer. Sad day coming....

Not mine unfortunately but I got the wheels pulled from a b king so I can mount some new Michelin power 5's at work tomorrow. Of course after the install I'll have to give it is mandatory test ride

As much as I’d like to live In northern MT or ID I just couldn’t park my bikes for months. Pretty much the next best thing living here I guess.

It's different if you grow up here and are used to this process...our season is short.

I used to be into snowmobiling and that was a great winter hobby but even it's season is short.

 I know I’m in great riding country when I run across snow machine crossing signs. Of course, there’s no snow on the road when I see them.

I find it kind of incredible the pavement on the roadways are grooved at the snowmobile crossing points.

The last snowmobile I rode was a 170hp Ski Doo Mach Z...it was pretty cool.

I like those B Kings....too bad they only made them for a year..sometimes Suzuki is asleep at the wheel I think..
Now that has me confused because I've heard they only made them for a year but then when I look them up or says made from 07-12 as do a lot of the aftermarket parts made for them. But I do find it to be a nice bike and definitely wouldn't mind owning one to put next to the busa.

Maybe they were only imported into North America for the '08 model year?

All I did to mine today was look at it. :(!! I forgot last time I started any of them and they just sit on their tenders waiting on me to clean all spider webs and go for a ride. I’m thinking it might even be a good idea to pull the fuel pump fuse and crank for a bit to get some lubrication before actually starting them. Pretty sad, really.

I got off my lazy behind and did a couple things today.
I got rid of my "trailer park/ghetto" tag holder....

Yup,zip ties, from the guy who works on bikes alot. Hey,I didn't say I was good at it.

Anyway that was just temporary...and so is what I did today. (waiting on a part to arrive for final plate/tag placement but thru this together for the mean time. Big thanks to member @Tb3 for the LED tag light. It'll be on my permanent holder. Thanks Bro.

Just some flat bar twisted and bent to the right shape...

just about invisible eh...plate looks like it's floating...and with Tb3's light,it's legal.

I've been wanting to trick up my gauges (clocks for all you European bastids, ) and I finally decided on these. They go nicely with my flames/skulls/spikes/death/goth theme thing that I have going on.
Went from this...
