I rode about 30 miles away from home tonight(60 round trip), and the CravenSpeed antenna did suprisingly well.
The stations that normally come in clear did, and ones that didn't actually came in better.
I can only explain that as the CravenSpeed supposesly has a copper coil inside it, vs the stock aluminum rod, and while even though the stock antenna is much taller, it is also subjected to alot more wind and moves around, vs being stationary like the CravenSpeed.
The CravenSpeed was also only $25, and has a 'no questions asked' return policy, so there is really no risk to try one.
I was skeptical, but am actually very happy with it, looks and reception.
