What exhaust are you getting?

Well everyone I've decided to go with the Race AT2 Stainless Full Exhaust from Yoshimura
The whole thing comes out to $1200 bucks including the cost of shipping and being the cheapskate that i am, not going to pass it up, lol... might also put in a Sprint filter
I'll report back regarding install, weight savings, performance feel and aesthetics
Hi. WOW. the full exhaust for only $1,200.00 my exhaust header alone was $3,800.00.

the new Akrapovic titanium full system made specifically for this bike in conjunction with Suzuki looks very good with this bike as it is made in a very symmetrical manner to match the curve of the bike.
The Akrapovic is actually hydroformed stainless headers and mid pipe , with titanium (or carbon ) skinned muffler . It is a very good pipe on the Gen 2 and the modified up to date for Gen 3 imho will be the same great exhaust .

Except Akrapovic is better quality and better performance than Yosh ever was, can't say that I know anyone but you that will miss them.

Well I disagree to some extent to that statement in regards to Suzuki . Generally because Yoshimura Japan made the best performing pipes for Suzuki for many years . The full titanium cyclone exhaust for the (early oil cooled models to later water cooled ) GSXR series , being a great example . Of course not exactly off the shelf , but you could obtain it through Suzuki . This series pipe was also made in stainless , but a little less trick design overall . There was a mild steel variant marketed under cyclone name with no header canisters , that was actually very good performing as well that were sold by Yoshimura USA .
Nowadays , the Yoshimura US division has many different makes of Japanese bikes in its line up , this has been the change , originating back 20 + years to move away from Suzuki only lines .
Now the very best titanium Yoshimura pipes were still Japanese made , BUT the best for Suzuki still , possibly . Still very good , but top tier manufacturer are more HP even nowadays . If you consider other factors , the lightness and material / construction quality , and also HP , certainly right up there at the top .
As for the Suzuki Hayabusa , well a few great examples of performance pipe instantly come to mind , and a couple of brands are still coveted by myself .
The first being the Akrapovic full titanium exhaust , for Gen 1 and limited time for Gen 2 , not exactly sure but think both 4-2-1 configuration . They are very light and well designed proven HP exhausts , still made now in stainless , at least for Gen 2 .
The other very desired exhausts , being the full ti Japanese Yoshimura for Gen 1 , and the 2 full titanium race pipe systems a twin muffler 4-2-1-2 and single muffler 4-2-1 made by Yoshimura Japan . They have discontinued the 4-2-1 last time I checked though , a chance possibly both systems , and the Gen 1 is rarer still .
I know of two people lucky enough to own an example of both brands @Kiwi Rider and @Dai. . They may see this and give us some details of performance and pics etc. , think Dai might even have 2 systems in pocession , one on his 220bhp monster !!

I find opinions on exhausts are similar to opinions on tires, everyone has their "go to" tire and no amount of talk is ever going to sway that opinion...

I had other exhaust systems on my other bikes but have always favored Yoshimura systems.

The full Hindle Ti system I had on my Bandit was a seriously good system but it was a "Unicorn" for me to find...

My GSXR race bike was also sponsored by Yoshimura...hard for me to break that loyalty even after all these years.

My Akrapovic system is full stainless 4 into 2 into 1 headers with 60mm outlet to the carbon fibre muffler, muffler has titanium Internals and end caps.
Really light weight too, quiet as and a littlevely piece of kit.
It was NOS when I found it for sale 3 years ago, paid $920 for the whole system.

I considered all options prior to purchasing both the full Ti 4-2-1-2 and slip on version for the girls. I based the purchase on performance gains over other brands, the looks and rarity compared to other generic brands.

I have cataloged nearly every Yoshimura part on the LE and believe the full Ti was icing on the cake and sounds decent when on power.

I’ve always known Yoshimura to be affiliated with Suzuki and still watch the Suzuki/Yoshimura combo in endurance racing.

I have a spare complete system just I case they are NLA.

I had my local dealership look up different exhaust systems for my incoming Busa and according to them Brock's was working on it and told them to call back in 2-3 weeks. The Yoshimura R&D website shows several exhausts but all are Tagged as reserve now/pre-order
But to answer your question, I'm leaning towards the Brock's Penta-Carbon full system
I think that’s what Chris Moore is running on his.

for street use on stock engines, exhaust systems will likely come down to preference and budget. yoshi and akro pipe are used on many road/race bikes. where as brocks pipes are used more at drag strips.i like my brocks street meg look and sound on my 2nd gen busa but the fit an finish of akro and yoshi exh systems on my other machines are noticeably better.

he running a CT ti exhaust on his white busa. the gsxr1000 is running a penta

I thought yours was the full ti version Akrapovic , still , a great buy and one of the very best street pipe for Gen 1.

that is a gen 2 fitment which has been modified to fit the gen 3 bike.
He made several remarks that he was running a single O2 sensor with a two lead interface. No check engine light after he installed the wiring harness modification. I'm sure the new Yoshimura must have 2 sensor bungs for the Gen III. Can the bike auto correct without a power commander or ECU edit?.

I’m really really hating the sound my Gen3 stock exhausts. I run Micron (company long gone now) slip-on with removed silencers on my Gen2 and the sound is elegant, deep and gives a wonderful yet subtle roar when you twist that throttle. Not as aggressive and loud as brocks or any of those. Not into the extreme loud in any way.

I have no intent to install a full system. I prefer slip-ons and the 2 can look in general. I’m leaning towards yoshi, I love the look of their slip-on cans for the Gen3, but the sound seems just as crappy as the stock. I noticed there is no silencer I can remove either to get that deep subtle roar. Anyone running those yet? Let me know please. More so, anyone know of any slip-on that gives that roar. Was even thinking removing silencers on stock if no aftermarket available just yet. No point upgrading to yoshi for same stock sound. Really am not enjoying my ride on my Gen3… too smooth for my taste. Need to hear more of it.

check it out. Sounds pretty crappy if you ask me, and no silencer to be removed.

Another option is maybe Gen3 Akra slip-on and remove silencers. But those cans are ridiculously long. Not a big fan. I need that subtle roar. Guys… help pls.

Just another glorified R77 style exhaust which is past it’s used by date. Shame they didn’t make an R11 to suit.

Microns on the other hand, I have an almost no mileage set in the cupboard, had them fitted then went full Yoshimura.
