What is the Best Octane to run in the Busa..

NOW you tell me.  I've been running 93. spending all my hard earned money.  I will run 87 in mine from now on!!

Me too. I never looked at the fuel rating. I thought it ran off 93.

What if im running a pcIII, block offs slipons, and a filter. Will the pcIII alter the timing or should i just use 87 till i do something like change the compression?

WoW!! This is a really OLD thread....Makes me wonder if the people using the higher octane fuel have downgraded at all now that gas is $4 a gallon???

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought the K8's require 91 and up. Has anyone tried 87 in there K8, even by accident.

I just have a hard time believing a K8 will supply you with more power running a lower octane fuel mixture.

Anyways, I'm off on a 300 mile trip up the Kinzu Dam in warren PA. I'll be running the usual 93 octane.

Exactly why I think the "New Posts" window should also show the date the thread was started. It shows it if you're in a specific forum ... maybe Cap can make an "adjustment" when the .Org is down for upgrades?

Here in the UK, we generally have only 95 and 97 available.

Ive just picked up my K8 today (wahay!! ) and there is a sticker on the tank that says use premium unleaded 95 or higher.

im guessing i can use normal unleaded here which is 95, dont want to pay the price of super unleaded it costs a small fortune.
