2003 Gsxr1000

New fancy parts
Thankyou to @HayaWakened
for a great deal on these old new in the box Brembo Rotors...that just so happen to be specifically for my 2003 Gsxr1k, and exactly what I needed, as the stock rotors are trashed.
What are the odds?
lol

I'm not sure of that shock's application.
I assume it's for the 03-04 1k, but it looks like it may be more along the lines of a drag or roll race shock, vs a road race/street style?
Maybe @SS4Luck would know?
I know nothing about Penske shocks.

Its a Penske 8987 triple adjustable drag shock. Its their top model from their drag line. I wouldn't be able to tell you application to the bike, as the length and valving is all customizable. You may be able to call penske and give them a serial number if there is one and they can have a birthsheet for it. The eibach spring part number would be search about to at least give you a spring rate. YOu would be able to tell a little about it by the length of the spring and its spring rate as far as the shock travel/height adjustments.

Thats an older one, but its a 1500-2000 shock to buy new now. IT could be converted easily to a double adjustable/lightweight version by removing the piggyback as well if you tried to put it on a bike and the hose/cannister caused fitment issues.

Swingarm bearings,
and the lower shock linkage bearings.
The small ones were a pain to get out.
My Dad turned some brass in the lathe to support both bearings, as caged needle bearings are very fragile.
The new swingarm bearings pressed in easily.
And given the location of suspensiom linkage bearings, along with their small size, they were easy to draw in with a threaded rod.

A new Brembo rear rotor to match the fronts.
I was hoping it would be lighter, but it's actually a few ounces heavier.
But, I use my rear brake, and trail brake into corners, so I want something that I know is made from quality materials, that won't warp or rust.

K&N air filter
I wanted an air filter that I could clean and reuse, that is all...I'm not after those 20hp...
lol
But the cheapest new any brand is $80+, for K&N, Bmc are $90+, and of course Sprints are $120-$150
So, I found a clean, used K&N on ebay.
The dark places in this one are just the black molding of the filter, it's in great shape.

Most of them were beat, but this one...$17.90 shipped
Finally a deal
lmao
