Busa Bash II - Deals Gap Sept 18-19

Looking at the survey poll, most folks said that Sept 18-19 would work best for them to get up to the dragon.....so lets start planning   <table style=filter:glow(color=red)>BUSA BASH II</table>  Sept 18-19

Last time most of us were at the "resort" and it worked out pretty ok.  Its not the lap of luxury but its all about location

.

If you are interested or are *definately* going, please post here.  I'll dig up some more info on the area, hotels, etc and post when I get the time.

I don't have the vacation time to take the weekend off but a few guys from work and myself may be up there that Wed, Thurs, Fri. 9/15-9/17.

Count me and the wife in also. We will be staying at the resort also. We might actually arrive there earlier in the week so we have more time to ride everywhere. I'll probably be bringing a few more people with me, though they will be roughing in in the yard. I might even let them use our shower once in a while

What kind of prices are you guys paying at those resorts(Per day, week, etc.)??

How long are most of you staying other than the days of 18-19?

Are you guys riding in or trailering?

What else normally goes on and what do you guys do around there?

Any other info I should know about?

Thinking about going but I need some more details.

Hey Josh,

I think the "resort" is $49/night, I'll try to get up there friday afternoon and will leave sunday afternoon. Not sure about the other folks.

Last time, we rode the dragon and up to the skyway and all over the place....after that most of us were tired and just came back and cooked dinner, sat around, drank some beers and passed out. There's not much to do up there except riding, but after a full day and hanging out with everyone around the fire, I think we were plenty spent so going to bed was a good option

I'd say the only real thing to know is bring your riding gear. If you haven't seen/read about the area, check out www.tailofthedragon.com . If you have any other questions, feel free to ask

The riding is fantastic so you should come if at all possible.

I would like to but I was just there 4 weeks ago and that's a long drive from Florida. If you do it again next year, I'd like to join you.

actually its NC/TN. The dragon is a section of US 129.

We are leaving out of Miami on the 18th on Royal Caribbean. We are going to Ocho Rios, Grand Caman, Cozemel and one one. This will be our third cruise. I hate I am gonna miss riding there with you guys!!! I should be there this weekend if all goes well, I can be on some nice roads(28) in a little ove an hour. I probally will be making a 3 or 4 day trip in October, maybe the 1st weekend. If anyone cant make this one and would like to go, let me know.

sorry you can't make it either, but thats a great cruise....been to the same spots on Carnival. We are heading to the southern carib. out of San Juan. St. Thomas, Barbados, Dominica and Aruba

We'll be planning another spring time run if all else fails, so you have to make it there for sure

Knowing my luck, I will be gone to a MC trade show or something....

Last year, we went on a cruise out of San Juan. I know we went to Barbados, St Thomas, St Maarteen and Antiga. That was a great trip.

Oh yeah the other place we are going is Belize.
