sounds good, but I wouldnt wait much longer, they only had 3 rooms left when I called the other day... we could always bail on the resort and get rooms down the hill, but they are a little more $$ but they do have beer there

so with about 6 weeks to go, anyone else gonna come join us at the gap? When last I heard the "resort" was filling up, but there are many other places up there or you could crash with someone if they have extra room.

I will probably go before then and it will likely be during weekdays to minimize traffic (and enforcement) for a "suspension-tuning" session. I intended to go next Sunday through Tuesday but Hurricanes Bonnie and Charley might change that plan.

Dang I wish I could make it. The gap is awesome! There is a ton of good roads there too. I love the section of 28 that goes from the resort past fontana villiage to rt143. The skyway is cool, but if I go again I will prob spend more time in the dragon. I was unfortunate to have 2 riders go down with me the last time I went. Took my heart away, couldnt ride worth crap after watching a guy and his bike doing flips down the skyway, and my best friend dissappearing on the gap. Everybody was okay thank god. Guess it helps keep you in check.

Any who the Sweetwater BBQ in Robbinsville is one of my favorite places to eat! Have fun guys and be safe.

sounds great! Warbaby, how was the gap during your tuning runs? Has anyone eaten at the new place there yet? does it suck? cuz the little "sandwiches" they had before weren't exactly top notch

Those bloody hurricanes pre-empted my planned trip and I haven't been able to get away from work since. I still might get there for a couple of days before the Bash though. If so, I'll post what I learn about the newly improved "resort" facilities.
