Buying a Gen3?

Well sold my gen 2 years ago, but I still have my gen 1 and my bking and gen 3 coming so maybe 2.5 or 2 3/4 cool points

Oh man... you are so close!!! But that ain't gonna cut it. You NEED that gen 2!!!
I just so happen to know where there's a beautiful example and is for sale!

Tb3- that’s a great looking bike, I’m sure that won’t last long. I’ve got a few other bikes in the garage also so I’m good for now, unless you have a vmax or m109r for sale...lol

I personally would like to get one . I currently own a 2008 I bought when the 2nd gen came out and when I bought that one I traded in my '03 . I understand people expecting more power or something revolutionary . In my almost 20 years of owning either a gen 1 or gen 2 I have never come close to using all the power available . I love my Hayabusa because to me it is the equivalent to owning an exotic super car . Now Suzuki has improved,in my opinion,a proven platform . Better lighting, better brakes, cruise control, available heated grips and more importantly strengthening an already bulletproof power plant . Yeah, the price is hard to swallow but give it time and I think dealers will be flexible on pricing once the initial hoopla dies down .

Why does new gen 3 have line going down the middle of the gas tank...smh
Line?

The front part is the airbox area cover and the rear the gas tank I imagine (if that's what you are referring to). This is common on sport bikes and I sort of like the look. Basically, I think the Gen 3 is a really successful update aesthetically.

Yeah Looks good on top of black but on silver and white sticks out on the sides is all look at picture from the side ...guess I'm used to my old gen busa tanks ... but yes tank needed a update lol

I think it's now a two piece tank. Because of the larger airbox, it might be split down the middle.
Maybe. The tank better be bigger with the lower mileage rating! But I would be careful of these studio shots. Typically they don't show the presence the bike has in real life. A lot of small details stick out in the controlled light and white background of a studio shot.

Ah, you were referring to the split between the steel tank and the plastic shroud part. When I think "middle of the gas tank" I picture something running from front to back.

Disregard.
