Stop with your pity party. You purposefully put yourself into violent situations where people wanted to kill you. How many Palestinians or terrorists have tried to kill you in Canada? Thought so. None!
So you invade their land and then were surprised they tried to kill you? Golly gee imagine that.
If they invaded Canada you'd just let em have it or let em have it? Thought so.
So don't get high and mighty when you put yourself in harms way and it came to you.
I think that you forget that be it Canada, the U.S. or Any nation...a country's soldiers are for the protection of their own country/aka it's citizens, and their allies.
These men and women sacrafice a great deal, and many times their own lives, in defense of All of US.
These soldiers Follow Orders, orders from their superiors...who ultimately are given their orders from Politicians.
If soldiers refused orders based on their own military views, we quickly would not have a functioning military.
@Bumblebee does not need me or anyone else to come to his defense...however...if men and women like him did not "purposely put themselves into violent situations"(remember Canada is our next door neighbor, friend, and allie), then you, me, and everyone else here would not be able to Enjoy the freedoms that we have.
Each individual's political and personal views are there own, but to imply that they personally joined the military to go and kill specific people...come on.
I try hard to stay out of these political arguements, but it's shameful and disrespectful to call out any military members in this regard.
You can't fly the U.S. flag on military holidays, say that you support our troops, then say that our allies(the same ones working along side our U.S. troops) are "purposely" in a foriegn land there by choice, just to willingly kill innocent people.
I have friends and family that served, and have listened to many others.
I think that the majority of these front-line soldiers have had to do things that never imagined that they would, as they have witnessed and been a direct part of the horrors of war...situations that most people fortunately will never find themselves in.
There is a reason so many have PTSD.
Terrorists are terrorists, regardless of their nationality or allegience...they do not care who they kill to accomplish their goals, and unfortunately innocent people die in the process.
I don't agree with everything that the U.S and it's allies do either, in governing their citizens or situations in wars...but I won't blame the boots on the ground...I will be grateful for them, and compassionate for their sacrafices.
To say anything else is not a patriotic stance.
I fly the U.S. flag in support of our troops...not the garbage in D.C.
There is good and bad in all countries, and you are rightly compassionate for innocent lives, but alot of your posts lately come accross as very anti-American(and our allies), supportive of terrorists, and just plain disrespectul to people who desrve none of that, and to the contrary deserve our thanks and appreciation.
