Looks like a war is looming in Israel

Stop with your pity party. You purposefully put yourself into violent situations where people wanted to kill you. How many Palestinians or terrorists have tried to kill you in Canada? Thought so. None!
So you invade their land and then were surprised they tried to kill you? Golly gee imagine that.
If they invaded Canada you'd just let em have it or let em have it? Thought so.

So don't get high and mighty when you put yourself in harms way and it came to you.

I think that you forget that be it Canada, the U.S. or Any nation...a country's soldiers are for the protection of their own country/aka it's citizens, and their allies.
These men and women sacrafice a great deal, and many times their own lives, in defense of All of US.
These soldiers Follow Orders, orders from their superiors...who ultimately are given their orders from Politicians.
If soldiers refused orders based on their own military views, we quickly would not have a functioning military.
@Bumblebee does not need me or anyone else to come to his defense...however...if men and women like him did not "purposely put themselves into violent situations"(remember Canada is our next door neighbor, friend, and allie), then you, me, and everyone else here would not be able to Enjoy the freedoms that we have.
Each individual's political and personal views are there own, but to imply that they personally joined the military to go and kill specific people...come on.
I try hard to stay out of these political arguements, but it's shameful and disrespectful to call out any military members in this regard.
You can't fly the U.S. flag on military holidays, say that you support our troops, then say that our allies(the same ones working along side our U.S. troops) are "purposely" in a foriegn land there by choice, just to willingly kill innocent people.
I have friends and family that served, and have listened to many others.
I think that the majority of these front-line soldiers have had to do things that never imagined that they would, as they have witnessed and been a direct part of the horrors of war...situations that most people fortunately will never find themselves in.
There is a reason so many have PTSD.
Terrorists are terrorists, regardless of their nationality or allegience...they do not care who they kill to accomplish their goals, and unfortunately innocent people die in the process.
I don't agree with everything that the U.S and it's allies do either, in governing their citizens or situations in wars...but I won't blame the boots on the ground...I will be grateful for them, and compassionate for their sacrafices.
To say anything else is not a patriotic stance.
I fly the U.S. flag in support of our troops...not the garbage in D.C.
There is good and bad in all countries, and you are rightly compassionate for innocent lives, but alot of your posts lately come accross as very anti-American(and our allies), supportive of terrorists, and just plain disrespectul to people who desrve none of that, and to the contrary deserve our thanks and appreciation.

I can tell you some first hand accounts (but not on this forum) of women and children and their involvement in terror....

Sadly people living in the west who have never fought in a terrorist held region can never know the full scale of what happens....the general population would be appalled at what happens over there.

After a while we needed to overcome our western ideology and engage terrorists in their own way...................it wasn't easy.......nor was it pretty......
I'm sure you can. I don't doubt you. But again I'm going to point out how you just rationalized the death of 93 women and children YOU DIDNT KNOW NEVER SAW AND HAD NO IDEA WHAT THEIR SUPPORT WAS because some place else some other time some other person did something bad.
Still doesn't justify flattening a building with 100 women and children in it. Not to me. It's chickensh!t is what it is.

I stopped reading when you implied I said he put himself there because he wanted to kill people or whatever. That is NOT anywhere near what I meant. I realize fully well he chose to serve and was sent. He was serving his country over there doing the right thing. I have no doubt he took care of bad guys.
Never the less when he was over there he was seen by the people who opposed him as an invader. Some saw liberator others didn't. If they even saw him. :)

Hamas executions of Palestinians

Hamas executes people in front of their families. Protests are often violently broken up. In March 2019, young Gazans took to social media and the streets under the slogan, "We want to live." Hamas security forces violently broke up these protests. It's forbidden to report transparently, be anti-war, or be pro-peace in Gaza. Gazan peace activists like Rami Aman get arrested, tortured, and silenced.

Many Palestinians were asking why they were not seeing the direct benefits of the millions of dollars that Hamas has been getting from Qatar. Hamas used batons and fired live ammunition into the air to break up the crowds. LGBTQ Palestinians have to live in secret. Undercover Hamas operatives lure gay men with fake social media profiles and then torture them. Armed Hamas operatives enforce dress codes on women, even demanding that business owners dress their mannequins modestly. Women can't ride bikes or scooters. Polygamy is strongly encouraged. The people of Gaza hate their government, and it's not just women and young people who are repressed.

The Christian minority in Gaza

Gaza's tiny Christian minority has found itself in Hamas' crosshairs too. Gaza was home to roughly three thousand five hundred Christians in 2007. Since then, more than two-thirds have fled. Gazan Christians are disappearing. Violence has haunted Gaza's only Christian bookstore. Invasive questions and violence have made life unbearable for many Christians in Gaza.

Hamas prevents Gazans from fleeing

In the wake of the October 7 massacre, Israel has been pounding the Gaza Strip with airstrikes, trying to root out Hamas. Though the IDF has sent leaflets letting Gazan civilians know they need to flee in a certain direction, those who tried found themselves forcibly turned back by Hamas. The Israeli government has promised that the war will continue until Hamas surrenders or is destroyed. The innocent people in Gaza deserve better. Their leaders are too attached to their own power, corruption, and violence to let their people live.

What do Palestinians want when the war ends?

Young Palestinians have ideas for the future. They want a government that protects freedom of and from religion. They want to build up Gaza into the jewel of the Middle East. They want to live in peace with their neighbors. Above all, they just want to live. The long Israeli-Palestinian conflict has caused immense suffering. The people of Gaza deserve a chance to live freely and peacefully. We await the day we can meet as friends, not as soldiers or activists separated by a wall.

Hamas leadership's extravagant lifestyle

Hamas' political chief, Ismail Haniyeh, lives in Qatar and owns multiple lavish properties on the Gazan coast. His fortune is modest compared to his predecessors. Khaled Mashaal's net worth is estimated to be between two and five billion dollars. Ordinary people in Gaza are sick of being exploited. The Hamas terrorists who poured into southern Israel on October 7 had plenty of practice killing civilians because they've done it to their own people as well.
Along comes the resident boot licker in the middle of the CURRENT convo to once again try to justify and rationalize murder.
Glad you did so I can quote it.

Let's see. Hamas is bad. Yes we know. Hamas uses human shields and their own. Yes we know. Hamas prevents them from leaving. Yes we know.
You know who else knows? Israel, Bibi and the IDF. Sure they are oh so kind and drop leaflets alerting people of impending attacks. But wait a minute we just agreed Hamas prevents people from leaving and we, they AND THE IDF know this.
Hmmm....so what do they do? Fook it. Flatten it anyway. Nope sorry. You're not getting away with it.

Let me tell you why. Did we not just see Sinwar eliminated? Super cool what was shown to us? Oh yeah! It was drone video. Why was the IDF there? Overhead surveillance spotted terrorists.
They have same. They have day and night vision. Nobody is going to tell me the IDF did NOT know there was a large number of innocent people inside. Cold blooded decision was made without care.
Israel set out to 'eliminate Hamas'. Ok there's a red X over every single one they set out to get along with 30,000~ addtl people killed. Has the goal not been achieved Bibi? Nah. Few more buildings to turn to rubble. More infrastructure to permanently destroy. Nobody stopping me so why not? Eh?

You have been repeating yourself for more than 10 years now, we have heard it over and over and over and over. No need to tell us how you feel and how you think. We all know by now.

Self description?

You have been repeating yourself for more than 10 years now
We've all been repeating ourselves
we have heard it over and over and over and over. No need to tell us how you feel and how you think. We all know by now.
You used us and we a combined 3 times. Trying to form some sort of gang up on Blanca? When Blanca pointed out that IDF had absolute knowledge of who they were killing, you had no response, so you turn your sights on the person rather than the conversation. Yes, we all know by now.

I don’t think I have been repeating myself going back as far as 2012., 2014….

There is really nothing to add, Blanca has covered his opinion from A-Z over years and years.

I’m just stating facts, as he addressed someone way back and now he addressed me, the same stuff, nothing new.

I didn’t take you as the kinda guy who enjoys chasing feathers, but we learn and live.

Ooooh yeah that was a good one. Glad you brought it back up as it still rings 100% true to this day.

Read it. Dispute it if you can. You'll try. You'll twist but you can't. Still the same. Because of WHO it's being done to it is excused.

Post 3 for you again. You love losing your own arguments don't you?

Have you ever heard of these massacres committed by the IDF or Jews agaisnt Arabs?
Ariel Sharon was on scene and directly involved in outright murder.

Sabra and Shatila massacre - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Deir Yassin massacre - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Ever read this quote from one of Israel's most revered people, Ariel Sharon?

“I don’t know something called International Principles. I vow that I’ll burn every Palestinian child (that) will be born in this area. The Palestinian woman and child is more dangerous than the man, because the Palestinian child’s existence infers that generations will go on, but the man causes limited danger. I vow that if I was just an Israeli civilian and I met a Palestinian I would burn him and I would make him suffer before killing him. With one hit I’ve killed 750 Palestinians (in Rafah in 1956). I wanted to encourage my soldiers by raping Arabic girls as the Palestinian women is a slave for Jews, and we do whatever we want to her and nobody tells us what we shall do but we tell others what they shall do.”

They talk about how Hamas teaches it's children to hate but I bet you've never seen or read the fact Israelis do the same thing?

When Israelis Teach Their Kids To Hate ? Forward Thinking ? Forward.com

Gaza is the largest open air prison in the world. It has ONE opening which has been blockaded since 2006. The Israelis even restrict the importation of baby formula because they have convinced the world one can make explosives from it?

It is active murder going on there now. And I'm sure if you lived in an area where the ones in power over you controlled 100% of what you did or could get as well tortured your children in their jails you'd rise up too.
If this was your kid on vacation what would you feel?

Tariq Abu Khdeir speaks out being beaten by Israeli authorities while on holiday | Mail Online

These are soldiers from a moral army? Trying to stomp to death a handcuffed teen?

Caught on Tape: US Teen, Tariq Abu Khdeir, Allegedly Beaten by Israeli Police - YouTube

How many dead Hamas fighters have you seen? ZERO.
Yet over 1500 civilians are dead. Supposedly Israel has the most modern and precise weapons in the world yet they continue to hit the wrong people. Military targets? None.
If armed gunman came into the hospital and threatened everyone with death if they did not cooperate don't blame them for 'letting' Hamas fire rockets from the roof. But does that then warrant the entire destruction of the whole hosptial? No it doesn't. This is collective punishment on a race of people Israel by their own leaders admissions are sub human cockroaches. How do you explain Israel calling a four hour cease fire and then they themselves were the ones to break it by shelling a fruit and vegetable market killing two dozen and injuring 200?

Not every coin has only one side. And in this case the blood spilled is as old as the hills and both sides are guilty of crimes against each other.
God is watching and in the end those deserving will be punished.

Go drink some more Kool Aid.....

I'm just curious, when you were still in high school, instead of the teacher putting you on a chair in the corner, did she have you write a sentence, 100 times over and over on the blackboard. Don't you think it is time to shake the habit? I mean you are a big boy now, hitting steel targets at 1,000 yards with open sights with your 308.

I didn’t take you as the kinda guy who enjoys chasing feathers, but we learn and live.
Chasing feathers? Demeaning something that matters to me? Surely not you. Steven Cooper was the first bully I encountered. I think we were 9. He punched me in the face. I rubbed his face in the dirt. Got some in his mouth. I’ve had a thing about bullies ever since. Not only bullies, of course.

Apologies. I didn't know feathers mean a lot to you. You raise a lot of chickens?
I expect that if you use the phrase chasing feathers you would know what it means. Then again, I expect people to spell and speak correctly and that hasn't really worked out for me.

I expect that when someone throws me a mano mano, such as in post 1988, plus accuse me falsely of 10 years of senseless repeats of my opinion, they would be smart enough to understand the dry humor in my reply.

Dry humor? You are very awkward when trying to be humorous. Post 1988 was straight forward truth that you apparently have a hard time accepting. That’s your deal.
Are you claiming that your opinion about the situation in Gaza changed at some point?
My post was about the fact that you have called Blanca and I out for sticking to our impressions when you have done the same.

My opinion about Israel and Gaza, in this thread has been exhausted to the extent that there is really nothing new to add, other than it appears Palestinians in the majority still support Hamas, as per surveys done recently, available through research.

My opinion aligns pretty much with the opinion of others here, except you, Blanca and Wuzza. There were stronger opinions than mine here for a bit, go look, you, will find them. I believe they got bored and moved on.

Unlike you, I am not good at chasing feathers.

Other than posting latest developments, opinions here are known, exhausted and non flexible.

Waste your time, you are better at that than me.

I hope you’ll excuse me for not caring a bunch about what others think, especially in a definitely conservative leaning forum.
Your last sentence , once again you try your amateur psychological know how. Wrong again.
I don’t sweat the small stuff, not even a little bit. I put it in different terms because I don’t think you know what chasing feathers means because you said you’re “not good at it”. It’s not a skill, it’s a fault.

I really don’t need your resume.
For you this is a personal mano mano competition, based on ego.

For me, the thread is about the war, nothing else.
