Gen 3 Performance

I mean generation 3. My previous blue Gen 2 2017 Busa was fastest and able to race side by side with my friends fast bikes (ZX10R-Gsx1000rr, BMW 1000RR) in Florida. I understand that everything is in development and research to make Gen 3 faster and that's good. Not to mention clutch mod, cams, heads, fuel, etc., no one has confirmed that this works 100%. For Example ,HTP started with stacks, then another guy created billet stacks, now carbon stacks. I think all the performance racing parts are prototype projects to see if they really work. Don't get me wrong, I have my silver busa and I like it. but i hope someone hits the nail on the new busa and makes the gen 3 faster like it's supposed to be. Again it is just my opinion.....
That's the key word "supposed" to be....Suzuki tuned the Gen 3 for an entirely different power delivery...which makes sense as mid-range is where it's at.

Suzuki seemed to be on a mid-range power kick there for a long while....the Bandit, the new Katana, and now the Hayabusa were all developed for mid-range power....it can be reversed but at some cost and time for the owner.

I played with my Bandit and basically turned it into an oil burner GSXR but the fun factor was not the same...the mid-range pretty much disappeared.

Gen3 is the best of all 3 Gens its the most advance in technonogies of all them, the most confortable too and the most aerodinamic from them all so we are missing some power not for too long just wait a little more and see
That's a bold statement right there......

In my and many opinions, the gen 1 was the best...as far as it all goes, a bike designed in 1999 is still relevant and the benchmark to meet.

I do like the gen 3 as a bike and it would be a replacement for my current gen 2 but I certainly don't see it as the best version of a Hayabusa.

Robert, Gen 3 it is a nice bike, but the lack of power is noticeable and you know how we ride..

I might add that many of the Gen 3 threads have owners looking for the same things other generation owners are looking for....raised bars, lowered pegs, better seats, higher windshields, etc, etc....

The big issue is the owners are looking for more power and spending quite a bit of time and money to get a gen 3 in the same power range as a gen 2....there it hits a wall.

If people use the gen 3 as it is intended, and not chase the ever-elusive power, it is a stellar bike.

It has a great electronic suite and a modern sleek look.

It's been proven already the stock gen 3 is a bit quicker than the gen 2. It is a better platform as well than any of the liter bikes, the motor has more potential than the liter bikes, how much do you want to pay is the question... And from a dig with a 3 inch longer wheel base the avg person can launch it harder and faster... And be more comfortable doing so

Agree, but I have not seen yet a Gen 3 winning races at Gandy Bridge in tampa. They meet at Race Trac gas station every Thursdays

While that's true... There's also not many gen 3 here in Tampa yet, and certainly the ones that are here don't have the money in them to play for real. While all the boys running Gandy are riding geared, stretched, and every other item they can fit to there bmws and such. It's all about how much you wanna pay.... Roll racing I don't think plays in to the Busa... I could be very wrong though, I'm just starting nto learn the drag game... I have always been a track junkie until I got older

Yes sir, for safety they are practicing more at Bradenton Motorsports Park, it is safer for them and it can prevent someone from having an accident and falling into the ocean.

The trouble with the Hayabusa going against the liter bikes is the weight loss regime added to the cost of getting the power where it needs to be.

Lots of videos on EJR and what he's done to his bike to be sort of competitive against them.
