Gen 3 Performance

I like the Hell Cat, I think Dodge hit that out of the park and stayed true to the original intent.

The GT500 and Camaro ZL1 are all on par now but it did take them a bit of time to catch up.

If I had $135K laying around I'd be in a TRX...
actual ford laid the smack down with the terminator cobra in 03. took dodge over a decade to answer and almost a decade for chevy.

As impressive as the Cobra was, it always puzzled me why they called it The Terminator when there was already a 400 plus horsepower C5 ZO6 out at that time. Between the Viper and the C4 ZR1 the 400 horsepower in the modern-day era had already been well broken by both of those vehicles. Dodge didn't start reintroducing the Chargers until 2006 and write out the gate the 6.1 400 plus horsepower was already besting the cobra in naturally aspirated form and further that a few years later when the 6.4 L came out with close to 500 horsepower in a car you can comfortably fit five people in LOL... Did you say something about laying the smack down???

Well... I'm guessing aftermarket would not qualify as out of the box... Then gen 3 bars are higher than prev gens last time I checked... So maybe a little better than gen 2 or 1 if everyone wants higher bars... Drop pegs... I'm guessing the same... Seats windshields.... These are all just personal preference items to fit someone's needs.... It's also been proven hp level is just a # as the gen 3 with the torque is actually faster and if we're tuning both bikes your getting the same overall hp as the gen 2 once euro 5 crap is removed....

The only brake issue I have is stopping much better than the previous gen... QS issue... Again, tell me how your gen 2 oem QS is running???

Don't even get me started on the corning ability on the gen 3 compared to the previous gens... Like it or not it's a better bike than the predecessor....
Again, read the threads, lots of threads complaining about the brakes-or rather lack of brakes when the lever goes to the bar, lots of threads regarding a problem with the quick shifter....my aftermarket QS is flawless.

Lots of threads where owners are wanting drop pegs, raised bars, better seats and higher windshields pretty much on par with previous generations. I'm not writing these threads, just telling you the gen 3 is only a bike, not the holy grail.

As far as power goes-why would it be less, it's an enhanced gen 2 engine afterall...

I like the gen 3, just not enough to spend the money on it as it isn't an upgrade to what I'm currently riding other than some electronics of which I've never had so don't miss anyway.

And, the Charger(4 door) is Faster than the Challenger, lmao!!
Better aerodynamics and a higher top speed by 6 or 7 mph, it'll do a claimed 203!!
The local dealership had 2 Charger Hell Cats, one had a Borla exhaust on it....the saleslady started it up so I could hear it and I said every cop in a one mile radius just dropped their donut wondering where that noise came from....

Serious cop bait seeing as it was as loud as heck and bright green....

They also had 2 Hell Cat Challengers, one was purple and the other was orange.

The same dealership had a TRX stolen off the lot-it was later recovered and returned and put on discount...they would have sold it for $110k.

Again... Stop talking about your aftermarket QS... It's irrelevant as the point was no other gen has come with one.
Again... I have experienced no issues with brakes, maybe it's an issue, maybe not?

Again... All preferences... So if myself and others complain the gen 3 doesn't come in pink is that a relevant complaint? I don't think anyone claimed it to be a "holy grail" is there such a thing? The statement was simply it does everything better then the previous gens... As it should, it's an evaluation... Not perfection.
As far as power goes-why would it be less, it's an enhanced gen 2 engine afterall...
I think we know all know why it makes less and Suzuki has been open as to why... And it's still quicker and faster than the old... Should they have done something to compensate for the euro 5... Maybe, but as it was still an improvement, did they need to?

Its not for everyone, but because you have a soft spot for your current gen you can't deny the facts

Yep, a friend's next door neighbor has a gray Charger Hellcat...and it is Loud.
I'm suprised it's legal, lol

Hey, if nothing else you are defensive and loyal of a Hayabusa regardless of generation that at least is a good thing.

I am after all allowed to have and voice an opinion even if it differs from yours.

They do have active exhaust, they can open or close the valves on them judging by how loud mine was as well as my Camaro and Corvette with the valves open I would say they are borderline legal LOL
I didn't realize they had an active exhaust system as well. I guess the only time I hear them run they must be off.

My buddy has that on his Mustang, his is programmable so he can put it in "good neighbor mode" where it is closed certain hours (early hours) of the day so as to not disturb the neighbors...his is programmed to open from 1100 to 2300...sometimes he'll come by my house at 1000 and it's fairly quiet, when we go somewhere at 1101 it's a different beast.

, yes sir, they can control it. Mine were all set to open and performance modes in regular driving modes they were both off

Makes no sense for me to do so, our season is far too short for such an investment, they are over $25k out the door around here.

My current bike is set up pretty well, other than the electronic suite, there is no advantage for me to get a gen 3.
I feel exactly the same.
Where I am, what they’re charging for a new Gen3, there’s so many other options available. Trying to decide on what I’d spend my hard earned on would be a challenge.

In all seriousness where are you guys seeing these machines for 25k out the door, I paid MSRP plus all the dealership rip off fees and was still 21 out the door. And honestly that is what any of the top tier bikes are going for.

I'm really curious, if this bike put out let's say 30 more horsepower, would it then be worth the money?

I'm in the U.S in Va
And I've never paid more than sticker...otd(tax, tag, and title) for any new bike so I'm waiting to find a new black one for around $18k-19k otd, save the rest for the start of the mods.

One is in Canadia, the other, Oz
hence the higher prices
The price just doesn't seem that high to me, I still think motorcycles are a bargain for what they are. I mean I paid 16,500 before tax for my 916 back in 95. Wasn't the original Hayabusa around 10 5, 23 years ago. I mean just quick math in my head that's barely over 3% inflation year over year

At least 30 hp, then YES, god yes.

Add the taxes and it's around $25k

I think if it had 30 more hp, demand and sales would both be much higher.
I'de have to say yes.
$21k would feel much better on a 220hp Busa...
