PS. I just noticed the output line from your pump at the top up against the engine looks pretty sharply angled....are you sure you don't have a partial kink going on there?

So hey, If the fuel pump does not come on for about ten seconds when the key is turned on and stay on when you hit the starter button u probably have a bad fuel pump relay which is located under the left side frame couling. That is what happened with mine. If all that works well then I would look at the fuel regulator. The sputtering or attempt to satrt is probably the relay is coming on briefly but not long enough because it is no good. Good luck!

Worked on it over the weekend, no dice. Removed the external filter and rigged the line from the pump straight to the fuel rail.
Still won't run. Pappy came over and said that it sounded like the engine was being starved of fuel.
Right now I'm eyein that pump...I have a feelin that's the problem.

Well, I was able to check (somewhat) the fuel pressure this weekend.Pac - I scrolled through here and didn't see mention of fuel pressure. Please check it, I would be suspect of the pump, even if it is running. Simple check could save you alot of time. Remember the KISS principal.
I spent some time on the phone w/ Rubbah...ran a little test, of sorts.
The fuel pump turns on and all that jazz, but I don't think it's putting out enough pressure. It's a trickle...not a slow one, though..but not fast either.
I think I can piss harder than that thing.
I'm with ya on this one, though. I'm really starting to thing that pump is a lazy SOB.

Where's my stick? Dang wild hooligans.Hm.... Completely wild idea but when removing the PAIR valve and installing the block off plates, did you remember to block off on the throttle bodies aswell? Maybe theres vac leak?

J/k, man...TB's are blocked off correctly. Vac leak is a possiblility...but I hope that's not the case.

First thing you need to be sure of is that you're actually getting good flow from your tank to your fuel pump....then you gotta be sure you're getting good flow out of the filter. Its kinda messy and can be dangerous if you aint careful but I'd actaully run a piece of hose off the output side of your filter into a bucket and see what kinda fuel flow you have. Also be sure you didn't accidentally hook up a fuel line to a vacuum line or vice versa. Its easy to do when your working with those fittings between the throttle bodies. Is that an automotive filter? It looks fairly big volume wise...its possible it might be sapping a bit of your pressure too. How big was the stock filter compared to the external? I'm beginning to suspect the pump output...as well as the filter out put. It seems as if one or both may be restricting the flow.
I don't think that I got any of the fuel lines crossed with the vaccum lines. I checked and double-checked...but I'll check again.
I did pull the line off the fuel rail and aimed it into a bucket, but the output I got (even when cranking) didn't seem like alot. I was thinking it shoudl be at least a high-powered squirt of sorts, but all I got was a steady flow. Combine that with the fuel line going up, and I think we may have a problem.
The external is an auto filter...but I didn't ask for one the would flow at least 2 litres of the stuff. Mebbe I hafta go back an get another one. I didn't stop to think about the volume...good point. The stock filter is tiny in comparison...definitely more fuel flow through there, that's for sure.
No kinks either...the line looks like it's bent at a good angle, but upon further inspection, the fuel line doesn't seem to kinked bad. I don't think flow is held back. I'll check again.
Thanks for the props on the rims, man...I think they look pretty tight as well. Wouldn't have happened if it wasn't for SageRonin. I owe him big time.
